We run a small beauty counter from a condo studio in Tampines, and we have written this policy the way we work: plainly, in full sentences, and without hiding important points in fine print. Please read it at your own pace. If any part is unclear you are welcome to write to us at order@juolifestyle.autos or to call +13203089109 and a member of the counter will walk you through it.

1. Who We Are

The data controller for the information described in this policy is Juo Lifestyle & Beauty Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore with its studio counter at 13 Tampines Lane, #08-52 Treasure at Tampines, 528479, Singapore (SG). The company operates in computer systems design and related professional services and applies the same care to personal information that it applies to the routines it builds for clients.

The counter is small and the team is close. The same people who answer your email, build your skincare set and pack your ritual box are also responsible for looking after the information you share with us. We do not operate a separate call centre, and we do not pass your messages to an outside agency for a first response. When you write to the studio, a person at the studio reads it.

For the purposes of this policy the terms we, us and our refer to Juo Lifestyle & Beauty Pte. Ltd. The terms you and your refer to any person whose personal information we handle, including website visitors, clients, members and people who simply send a question.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to personal information collected through this website, through email and telephone contact with the counter, and through in person services delivered at the studio. It covers the full journey of a client, from a first message through a consultation window, a skincare set bay session, a treatment booking run, a member order and a ritual box review.

This policy does not apply to information handled by third parties that we do not control. If you follow a link from our website to another service, that service will have its own privacy notice and its own practices. We encourage you to read those notices before you share personal information with any third party.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, which describe the rules that apply to bookings, orders and use of the website. Where the two documents differ on a question of information handling, this policy governs.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only what a small counter genuinely needs to serve a client well. The categories below describe the information we may hold, and not every category applies to every person.

Contact and identity information

Booking and service information

Skin and consultation information

Order and payment information

Website and technical information

Communication information

We do not deliberately collect information about your racial or ethnic origin, your political opinions, your religious beliefs, your health beyond the skincare context described above, or your sexual orientation. If you choose to share sensitive information in a message, we will handle it with care but we ask that you share only what is needed for the service you are requesting.

4. How We Collect Information

Most of the information we hold comes directly from you. You give it to us when you complete the contact form on this website, when you email order@juolifestyle.autos, when you call +13203089109, or when you sit at the mirror table for a consultation. We record only what is relevant to the service and we try to keep notes short and factual.

A smaller amount of information is generated automatically as you use the website. Server logs, for example, record the time of a request and the page requested so that we can keep the site available and diagnose a fault. This information is technical in nature and is not used to build a profile of you.

We may also receive information from a payment provider confirming that a transaction succeeded, or from a delivery partner confirming that an order was delivered. We do not buy personal information from data brokers, and we do not enrich our records with information from advertising networks.

5. Why We Use Your Information

We use personal information for a short list of purposes that are directly connected to running a beauty counter. Each purpose is described below with the kind of information it usually involves.

We do not use your information for automated decision making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent a client list to anyone.

6. Skin Notes and Consultation Records

Skin notes deserve their own section because they are the most personal records we keep. During a consultation window we write a short profile that describes what we observe and what you tell us. The profile belongs to the counter and to you; it is not shared with product suppliers, advertising partners or any other business.

We keep skin notes for the purpose of giving consistent advice across visits. If a client returns after a long break, the notes let us avoid repeating a product that did not suit them and let us pick up the conversation where it paused. If a client asks us to delete the notes, we will do so and will explain how that affects future advice, since without notes a new consultation will be needed before a set can be built.

Photographs taken during a set bay session or a ritual box review are used to check an arrangement and to keep a record of what was packed. They show products and the tray, not a client, and they are stored in the counter records rather than published anywhere. We will not post a photograph that shows a client without that client giving clear permission first.

If you tell us about a reaction or a sensitivity, we record it so that the next set can be chosen safely. A reaction note is treated as important information and is retained for as long as you remain a client, because forgetting it would put you at risk.

7. Orders, Payments and Fulfilment

When you place a member order we record the items, the order summary and the expected run out date for each product. This record is what makes the next reconciliation possible. We share the minimum needed with a payment provider to take payment and with a delivery partner to deliver an order. We do not share skin notes with either of them.

We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems. A payment provider processes the card and returns a reference number, which we keep so that a refund or a dispute can be traced. If you pay by a method that involves a bank transfer, we keep the transaction reference and the amount, and we do not keep more bank detail than the reconciliation requires.

If an order is a gift, we record the recipient name and the delivery address that you give us. We ask you to confirm that the recipient is happy for us to hold those details before you place the order. If the recipient later asks us to remove their details, we will do so unless a legal obligation requires us to keep them.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website is built to be light. It does not run an advertising network, it does not load a social media pixel and it does not place a cookie to track you across other sites. Any cookie that is set is used for a narrow technical purpose, such as remembering a preference within a single visit or helping a page load reliably.

Your browser gives you control over cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can set your browser to warn you before a cookie is stored. Blocking a technical cookie may affect how a page behaves but will not stop you from reading our content or contacting the counter.

We do not use fingerprinting, cross site tracking or a hidden identifier to recognise you after you leave the website. If we ever introduce a measurement tool that changes this position we will update this policy first and describe the tool plainly.

10. How We Share Information

We share personal information only when there is a clear reason and only to the extent needed. The categories of recipient are described below.

We do not share skin notes with product suppliers, and we do not provide a client list to any brand whose products we stock. A supplier may receive aggregated sales figures, for example the number of units of a cream sold in a season, but this never identifies a client.

11. Service Providers and Processors

Each service provider acts on our instructions and is not permitted to use your information for its own marketing. We choose small, established providers and we review the relationship when a contract is renewed. Where a provider processes information outside Singapore, we take the steps described in the next section.

Our email provider holds the messages you send to order@juolifestyle.autos so that the counter can reply and keep a record of the conversation. Our hosting provider holds the files that make up this website and records basic request logs. Our payment provider processes a transaction and returns a reference. Our delivery partner receives only the name, address and contact number needed to complete a delivery.

If you would like to know which providers are currently used for a particular service, you can ask us and we will tell you, unless a legal restriction prevents us from doing so.

12. International Transfers

The counter is based in Singapore and most of our activity takes place here. Some service providers operate infrastructure in other countries, so a message or an order record may be stored on a server outside Singapore. When this happens we require the provider to protect the information to a standard comparable to the protection we apply ourselves.

We rely on contractual safeguards, such as standard data protection terms, and on the provider limit described above. We do not transfer skin notes to a country outside Singapore unless a provider that meets these standards is essential to the service and no reasonable alternative exists.

If you would like more detail about a specific transfer, write to order@juolifestyle.autos and we will explain where the relevant record is held and what safeguard applies.

13. How We Protect Information

We apply a set of practical controls that suit a small counter. Access to client records is limited to the people who work at the table and need the record to serve a client. Accounts that can reach the records are protected by strong passwords and, where a provider supports it, by two step verification. Devices that hold client notes are kept updated and are locked when unattended.

Paper notes, where they exist, are kept in a locked drawer in the studio and are destroyed when the record has been transferred to the digital system or when the retention period ends. We do not leave a client file on the mirror table overnight.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that a breach will never happen. What we can promise is that we will act quickly if one does: we will investigate, we will take steps to limit the harm, and we will notify affected clients and the relevant authority where the law requires it. We keep a short incident record so that a lesson learned is not lost.

14. How Long We Keep Information

We keep information only as long as we need it. An enquiry that does not lead to a booking is deleted within twelve months of the last reply. A consultation profile and skin notes are kept for as long as the client remains active, and for two years after the last visit so that a returning client can pick up the conversation. Order and payment records are kept for the period required by Singapore tax and accounting rules, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Website logs are kept for a short technical window, typically thirty days, and are then overwritten. Ritual box photographs are kept with the order record and follow the same retention period. Marketing preferences are kept until you change them or ask to be removed.

When a retention period ends we delete the record or, where deletion is not practical, we anonymise it so that it no longer relates to a person. If you ask us to delete a record earlier and no legal obligation requires us to keep it, we will do so.

15. Your Rights and Choices

You have a set of rights over the information we hold about you. We honour these rights for every client, whether or not a formal law names them, because they reflect how we think a counter should behave.

To use a right, write to order@juolifestyle.autos with enough detail for us to find the record, such as the email address you used and the approximate date of your visit. We will reply within one business day to confirm receipt and will complete the request within thirty days in most cases. If a request is complex we will tell you why it is taking longer.

16. Access and Correction Requests

An access request is a request to see the information we hold. A correction request is a request to change it. Both can be made by email, by telephone or in person at the counter during a booked visit. We will verify your identity before releasing a record, using information the counter already holds, so that we do not hand a client file to the wrong person.

There is usually no charge for an access or correction request. If a request is manifestly unfounded or repetitive we may decline it and explain why. If a request would reveal information about another person, we will redact that information before we respond.

If we correct a record, we will also tell any provider who received the incorrect information where that is reasonably possible. If we cannot reach a provider, we will note the correction in our own record so that the correct information is used from that point on.

17. Privacy for Children

Our counter serves adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under the age of thirteen, and we do not direct a marketing message to a child. If a parent or guardian books a consultation for a young person, the parent or guardian provides the contact details and remains the point of contact for the record.

If you believe that a child has sent us information without the involvement of a parent or guardian, please write to order@juolifestyle.autos and we will delete the information promptly. We will not ask a child to explain themselves or to justify a request for deletion.

18. Marketing and Communication Preferences

Members may receive a short message when a season launch sitting is announced or when a booked slot becomes free. These messages are infrequent and they are always about the counter rather than about a third party brand. You can tell us at any time that you would prefer email, telephone or no contact, and we will change the setting in your record the same day.

Every marketing message includes a simple way to stop receiving it. Using that route does not affect messages that are needed to deliver a service you have booked, such as a confirmation or a change of time. We do not share a member list with another business, and we do not allow a partner to send a message on our behalf to people who have not agreed to hear from us.

20. Changes to This Policy

We review this policy at least once a year and whenever we change how the counter works. When a change is minor, such as a clarification of wording, we update the date at the top of the page. When a change is significant, such as a new category of provider or a new purpose for using information, we will describe the change in plain language and, where appropriate, tell active members by email before the change takes effect.

The version published on this website is the current version. A previous version can be requested from the counter if you need it for a record.

21. Questions and Complaints

If you have a question about this policy, or if you believe we have handled your information badly, please tell us first. Write to order@juolifestyle.autos with the subject line Privacy and a short description of what happened. We will acknowledge your message within one business day and will give you a substantive answer, including what we will do to put things right, within thirty days.

We keep a record of complaints and the steps we took in response, because a complaint is useful evidence about how the counter is working. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may raise the matter with the relevant data protection authority in Singapore. We will cooperate fully with any such review.

22. How to Contact Us

The counter can be reached in any of the ways below. For a privacy request, email is the quickest route because it gives us a written record and an address to reply to.

Thank you for reading this policy in full. We know that a privacy notice is not the most exciting part of a website, and we have tried to make it useful rather than decorative. If something here does not match your experience of the counter, we would like to hear about it.
